About Us
Edge O’ Town was chartered in May of 1954 in Skokie, Illinois as the Skokie Valley Chorus.
Along the way the chorus changed its name and moved to the northwest side of Chicago.
The Edge O’Town Chorus participates in the Lake Michigan Region 3 competition every spring.
In 2007 EOT won the 3^rd Place Small Chorus award. While competition helps the chorus to improve its musical product, our true joy comes from singing for groups, organizations and audiences of friends and family. Edge O’ Town is looking forward to an exciting new year, new music and new members.
Debra Peters has been director of Edge O” Town Chorus since January of 1987 and brings many years of Sweet Adelines experience. In 1978 Deb and three other young women formed a quartet, “Melo-Edge”, that went on to become the 1983 International Quartet Champions.
